Full Tilt Poker is committed to responsible gaming and providing players with a positive online poker experience. Full Tilt Poker takes the following actions and provides players with the following information and options to help ensure this.
Age Verification
To ensure that underage players are not permitted to play online poker using our software, Full Tilt Poker requires every new player to confirm that they are of legal age in their local jurisdiction, and pursues all reasonable measures to verify this information. Further, Full Tilt Poker does not direct any advertising towards underage players.
All new users at Full Tilt Poker are required to agree to our Terms and Conditions and click a separate check box confirming they are at least 18-years of age at the time of account creation. Personal details including name, address and date of birth are collected to confirm each player’s identity. Full Tilt Poker uses Integrity Age Verification to ensure that all players are of legal age to play online. Integrity’s software works by verifying standard issue driver’s licenses or other forms of government-issued identification for the citizens of 157 nations.
Please note that Integrity keeps all information strictly confidential and does not sell or share any information with third parties.
It is our intention that our game remains available to all players who are of legal age, and we encourage our users to take reasonable precautions to ensure that minors are not able to access their Full Tilt Poker account. Specifically, we strongly encourage all of our players who are or may be around minors with the potential to access their computer to practice the following:
- Never leave your computer unattended while logged in to your Full Tilt Poker account – if you need to step away, lock your computer using a password
- Keep your Full Tilt Poker Login and Password in a secure location
- Do not leave the Remember Login or Remember Password functions enabled on the Full Tilt Poker sign-in screen
- Do not allow minors access to credit card or bank account information
- If you access your Full Tilt Poker account from someone else’s computer (a friend or family member’s, for example), or log in from a remote location (a wireless café, airport, hotel, etc.), please be mindful of any minors who may be near you while you play
Full Tilt Poker also encourages the use of age protection software that limits or denies access to specific websites and programs for underage users, including Safekids, Cyberpatrol, NetNanny, Cybersitter and K9 Web Protection.
If you are aware of any underage person using Full Tilt Poker’s software, please contact [email protected] with all of the relevant details, including the user’s player name (Login name) on our site. We will fully and fairly investigate all reports and, as necessary, freeze the player’s account to prevent further access to the game software.
Problem Gaming
Full Tilt Poker believes that poker should be played for fun and entertainment and we encourage our players to enjoy the game responsibly. With that in mind, consider these guidelines before you sit down to play:
- Set a limit: Don’t play with money you can’t afford to lose; never risk the rent, a car payment or tuition money at the table
- Don’t chase losses: Everyone has a losing session once in a while - don’t move to higher stakes in hope of recouping money lost at lower-stakes games
- Don’t play when you’re tired, angry, depressed or drunk: Playing winning poker takes focus and concentration; if your head’s not in the game, you shouldn’t be at the table
If you think playing online is becoming a problem, we encourage you to seek advice from organizations like Gamblers Anonymous. To help better evaluate individual playing habits, Gamblers Anonymous provides the following series of questions:
- Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?
- Has gambling ever made your home life unhappy?
- Did gambling affect your reputation?
- Have you ever felt remorse after gambling?
- Did you ever gamble to get money with which to pay debts or otherwise solve financial difficulties?
- Did gambling cause a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?
- After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses?
