Caio Pimenta plays online at Full Tilt Poker.

Caio Pimenta may not have achieved his childhood dream of becoming a professional volleyball player but, when he discovered his calling as a poker player, he devoted his career to spiking opponents at the felt.

The tenacious young player from Leopoldina, a small town in south east Brazil, commenced his poker journey by playing with friends. He quickly realized that he was different. Very different.

His innate aptitude for the game led him to pursue a career as a poker pro, playing for at least ten hours a day, six days a week. He built up a bankroll primarily through Sit & Go tournaments before focusing his attention on his specialty: Multi-Table Tournaments. Caio credits his strong spirit of competitiveness and courage for making him a dangerous MTT player – qualities that have helped him become one of the most formidable players to come out of Brazil.

Consistently ranking among the top online players in the world, Caio is a regular at final tables on Full Tilt Poker. He won a string of tournaments in late 2009, including a Friday Night Fight $500 Knockout and a Turbo $40K Guarantee, which banked him a combined total of over $40K in 1st place prize money.

Caio spends most of his time playing online but is making his mark on the live tournament scene. In April 2009, he took down the $460 No-Limit Hold ‘em event at the Latin American Poker Tour II in Mar Del Plata. He is looking to build on his success and already has his sights firmly set on taking down a coveted bracelet at the WSOP.
