Protect Yourself

If you pay attention to the news or are a regular Internet user, you've probably heard about identity theft. Unfortunately, identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes both online and off-line, and can lead to serious financial issues if not caught early or prevented altogether.

At Full Tilt Poker, we take every precaution possible to protect your sensitive personal and financial information. But, no matter how hard we work to ensure that your information remains safe and secure, the best defense we can offer is to remind you that a solid offense can stop identity thieves before they have a chance to target you. With that in mind, we have put together the following list of things you can do to protect your privacy:

  • Full Tilt Representatives appear in Green Text in the game software. Thieves will attempt to get information by offering "free money" or bonuses if you send them your account information. Some use misleading usernames like "System" or "FTAdmin". If they do not appear in green text, they do not represent us and should not be listened to.

  • Never give out your account information or password. Nobody from Full Tilt Poker will ever ask for this information, and if someone does, they should be reported immediately. Full Tilt Poker Support can help with any problems you have without providing personal information. All you need to start with is your player username. If someone says they require more information, such as passwords, banking information, or payment account numbers (such as NETELLER), do not supply it.

  • Choose a Player ID and E-mail Address which differ significantly. If your Player ID and E-mail address are very similar, this can pose a security risk. To provide additional security, it is recommended that you choose a Player ID which differs considerably from your E-mail Address.

  • Be careful following external links! Sometimes players will follow links to websites claiming to be a part of Full Tilt Poker and reach pages that ask for your account information. When going to a website, check the address bar. If the website is not under the fulltiltpoker.com domain name, then it is not our website. Alert support if you see a fake Full Tilt Poker website so that we can take the appropriate action.

  • Legitimate locations. There are only three valid places where you will be asked to provide your Login and password:

    1. When you log in to the game software.

      FTP Login

    2. When you log in to our online poker forum, located at http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com

      FTP Forums Login

    3. When you log in to the Full Tilt Poker Academy, located at http://academy.fulltiltpoker.com

      FTP Academy Login

  • If in doubt, contact us. We are available 24/7 to answer your questions. If you feel that someone is attempting to defraud you or is targeting others, let us know so we can investigate. You can reach us at [email protected].
